Why a ping can miss a broken page
A ping asks a server if it answers. A visitor needs the page to load, the signup link to open, and the screen to be usable. Those are different tests.
What a ping is good at
Pings are the right tool for a simple question: did this host answer? Many teams should keep that check. StillWorks does not replace it.
What a ping skips
The HTML can load while a script crashes. The homepage can load while /signup returns an error. The login form can be on screen while sign-in fails.
StillWorks opens the page in a browser, saves a picture, and writes down console errors and failed requests. That still will not catch every bug. It catches the ones a short visit can see.

Do you log into my app?
Only if you save a test login on a paid plan. Use a test account, not your real one. On a free check we only open the login page. We never type a card number.
Do you create fake users?
No. We open the signup page and stop. We do not submit the signup form.
